This truly creepy paperweight contains the skeleton of a Vespertilio murinus, or ‘Parti-coloured bat’. The parti-coloured bat - so named for its mix of red, brown, silver, white, black and grey fur – is common in Western Europe where it can be seen flitting around lamp posts hunting moths.
This bat skeleton is encased in a block of unbreakable acrylic that’s clear enough to be examined under a microscope. It’s a great accessory for your office or home, but also an ideal educational tool for kids. Bat skeletons are fragile but this solid paperweight is extremely tough and will allow young children to see a genuine animal skeleton in close detail.
All bats used are already dead prior to being preserved. All bats are raised in a manner which helps support local economies and ensures the preservation of the natural habitat for these beautiful creatures.
