Sealand Dollond Portable Sundial: Inspired by a design from the 18th century, this wonderful, fully functional wooden-boxed brass sundial is a completely self-contained instrument.
Sundials like this were used by navigators and explorers to tell the time anywhere in the world. The shadow casting gnomon can be set for latitude on a sliding scale. The elegant sundial can be oriented for direction by means of a compass in its base. A spirit level and adjustable legs ensure that the sundial is used upright.
The Sealand Dollond Sundial features an engraved gold plaque with the words "The Principality of Sealand 1967 - 2007" and Sealand's Coat of Arms on its classy wooden box.
