For most people, Teddy Bears have been an important part of their childhood.

For hundreds of years, generations of children have loved, cuddled and cherished their Teddy Bears as enduring treasures. Even as adults we are not embarrassed to admit to our old threadbare companions who have survived through thick and thin – our loyal, friendly, loveable Teddy Bears. Where they have survived, we are still reluctant to part with them.

The birth of the adorable Teddy Bear is surrounded my numerous stories and legends. It is generally agreed that American and Germany were simultaneously responsible for the origination, and the arrival of the Teddy Bear had an immediate impact which resulted in supplier being unable to satisfy demand.

Over the years, the classic Teddy Bear has gradually evolved. Although shapes, colours and sizes have been experimented with, the basic appeal of the Teddy Bear remains irresistible to children of all ages as it was a century ago.
