It’s hard to believe that Pirates of the Caribbean is based on a Disney theme park ride, but somehow they’ve made a fantastic series of films out of it. These rip-roaring adventures are a throwback to the classic Errol Flynn movies, updated for the 21st Century with great performances from Kiera Knightly, Geoffrey Rush and of course Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow.
