What to do with them? You could have the negatives developed into photos professionally, but that may turn out to be an expensive task. Another option is to transfer them to a digital format at home.

It sounds complicated, but it’s something everybody can do themselves with the Veho VFS-004 Negative and Slide scanner.

This clever kit allows you to scan 35mm negatives and slides in full colour using a Windows PC. Just place slides or negatives in the bundled trays, insert them in the scanner, press a button and they’ll be uploaded to your PC.

Once in a digital format your negatives have a new lease of life. You can print them out at home for display, copy them to a digital photo frame or upload the pictures to an online photo album.

The images can be edited in any photo editing tool, such as the free PhotoImpressions software included in the package.
